An algorithms book which mostly works using pictures

My algorithms professor, Dr. Michael Bender mentioned that explaining algorithms & data structures using pictures/diagrams/visuals, with text complementing them is is much more effective than teaching them using textual matter with diagrams complementing the text.

Hopefully sooner than later, I plan to create a pin board on pintrest with such pictures that will make your wildest data structures dreams come true! (stay tuned for the link) I've put it up here: Algorithms & data structures in pictures.

Dr. Bender actually manager to teach a whole class worth of students Van Emde Boas Trees in about an hour using this diagrammatic approach. In fact, a lot of the tricks were suggested by the students themselves because the way the structure was pictorially shown on the board.
